Numerous reports of the synthesis of 2,4,5-trisubstituted imidazoles demonstrate their significance as biologically important molecules. Here we carried out their fast and efficient one-step green sonochemical synthesis through condensation of aldehyde, diketone and ammonium acetate, over reusable superparamagnetic CoFe2O4 nanoparticles.
