Abstract In a year or two we will look back at this whole process of moving on from physical punishment of children, and public events like this, with astonishment and hopefully embarrassment… adults coming together to debate whether or not they should hit children … Governments consulting on whether or not we should be allowed to hit our children, how hard, at what age, with what implements and so on?
