The Citationsy Newsletter 01

Welcome to the first ever Citationsy newsletter!
I will be sending out an approximately weekly newsletter highlighting changes and updates I’ve made and reaching out to the community.

(If you don’t want to receive these emails, scroll all the way down and click the unsubscribe link in the footer)

Okay, here we go:
Today I added collaboration on projects. When you’ve opened up the project, you can click the “+ Invite Collaborator” button and enter someone’s email address. If that person has registered for Citationsy they will get an email with a link they have to click, and then they will have joined the project. From then on, anything done in the project (adding and deleting references, editing references, choosing a style) will show up for both people. Credit for this suggestion goes to Chris Cherry.

Late last week I also changed the way you reference books. You can now search for books by title, author, or ISBN, and get a list of matches.

I also changed the way exporting a project works, getting rid of the separate export view and permanently saving your choice of citation style.

That’s really it for the big updates so far, this week I will be working on maybe adding inline citations and will to explore the possibility of a Mac app and a Chrome extension.

Thank you for being a customer, and as always: email me anytime (cenk@citationsy.com) with feedback or if you need help with anything (well, anything related to Citationsy).

If you have an idea for a cool new feature I’d love to hear about it.

Have a great week,
— Cenk

PS: what’s your biggest pain point in using Citationsy right now?
