I’m citing a website but it’s not fetching the correct information
When you cite a website on Citationsy, our app goes off and fetches the information you need from the link you pasted – things like the title, authors, publisher, date published, and so on.
In most cases this works, but for some websites we can’t analyse everything correctly. This might be because of the way the website formats their posts, or because we can’t access the site.
If you are citing a website and Citationsy isn’t fetching the right information, this is what we suggest you do:
- Manually input the correct and/or missing information.
- Click the little link at the bottom of the form to report the website to us
We will then see why exactly the information we fetched was inaccurate, and hopefully fix it in time for the next person citing this website.
