How do you cite a book in the Northeastern Naturalist referencing style? (2024 Guide)

There are two places to get the information you need for a book citation: the title page, and the reverse side of the title page. Here’s how to cite it in Northeastern Naturalist.

Here’s an example book citation in Northeastern Naturalist using placeholders:

So if we want to cite, for example, “I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings” by Maya Angelou we’d do so like this:
