Lipids Of Streptomyces Sioyaensis IV. Synthesis Of Lyso-siolipin☆
Published 1968 · Chemistry
Abstract The synthetic approach to siolipin, an ester of a lipoamino acid isolated from Streptomyces sioyaensis, is described. The Nα-acyl-L-lysine and -ornithine, containing non-hydroxylated iso acids and α-hydroxy-stearic acid, was synthesized by a reaction between an activated ester of fatty acids and N-protected amino acid, followed by removal of the protected group of hydrogenation on palladium black. Synthetic specimens have been compared with the lyso-siolipin A derived from natural siolipin A and verified to be identical with the natural product. Also, the methyl ester of Nα-acyl-L-lysine was prepared and compared with siolipin A.
