Abstract The electrochemical polymerization of thiophene on an indium-tin oxide glass electrode coated with polyvinylchloride produces a homogeneous conducting polymer alloy film of polythiophene and polyvinylchloride. This conducting film shows excellent redox properties, accompanied by a doping-undoping reaction comparable to that of a polythiophene single film.
