Abstract Use of chromatographic methods, high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) and capillary gas chromatography (GC) for separation, isolation and identification of very long-chain fatty acids (VLCFAs) containing more than 22 carbon atoms is described. Two tables and the text summarize the most important papers dealing with this topic.
