Black Lives Matter Reading List and Teaching Resources
If you are interested in the Black Lives Matter protests, and the wider civil rights movement, here are a couple handy resources and book recommendations.
I have not read all of them, but I can personally vouch for “How to be an Anti-Racist” by Ibram X. Kendi. Dr. Kendi also has a great list over at the NYT.
The MIT Libraries have a fantastic list of both fiction and non-fiction books.
This public Google Drive has a bunch of articles, quizzes, PDFs, and more that might be useful in a teaching context:
Powell’s Books also has a list of recommendations.
Finally, here is a crowdsourced document with anti-racism resources for white people. It has articles, movies, tv shows, books, and social media recommendations.
If you have anything else that you think belongs in this post, email me.
